Spent the day at Milwaukee's Germanfest yesterday. Always good for people watching. They had a parade through the grounds with several local bands and assorted people in costume. Now I have been in and seen a lot of parades in my time but yesterday I saw a first. A marching violin group playing "The Marine Corp Hymn".
As alway the food was great and the beer cold.
LOML thought the highlight was the weiner dog costume competition and races.

I don't think I can top the violin group but I did once see a group of cloggers doing their clog thing to "Tequila" on flat bed truck in Waunakee, Wisconsin in a parade. I also saw the Sun city cheerleaders in their cheerleading outfits with poms. Average age, about 70.
I don't think I'll ever forget that.
That brought up something I tried to blank from my mind. Yesterday I saw a 70ish woman wearing a belly shirt and short skirt. It's a picture that could fry your brain.
Also in the parade they had people in Mardi Gras type outfits including one woman in a court jester suit. I thought of you guys and your clown pictures; wished I had brought a camera.
