To the young man who played the Pie Jesu .. you have a wonderful tone, but you played it very much like it was an exercise. Each note seemed disconnected and I promise you, as a vocalist who has sung it many times, they aren't. I recommend (STRONGLY recommend) finding and listening to a vocal recording of this portion of Faure's "Mass-terpiece" -- I know it is a simple melody but it is so stirring when you hear it in context -- hearing the text will help that -- and you will absolutely have the audience on their knees with that little 20 or 30 seconds of beautiful tone. It's VERY fluid and often the phrase (until the repeat) is sung in one or two breaths.. I don't recommend you do THAT.. but I think you could benefit from hearing that phrase sung.. because IMO you should "sing it" through your horn. Yours could be "the moment" of the year this year.. get what you can out of it.

Listen lady, it's HIS solo to do with as he sees fit. Keep your nose out of it until someone calls you Sarah Brightman.

Paranoia runs rampant

On DCP the Bozos are cracking up. THere are several newer posters on DCP who have been accused of being Terri, Jim, Annie or myself. Don't these "Captain Queegs" realize there is no "duplicate key to the wardroom freezer". In simple words, we all have been banned by the DCP Nazis. There is no POSSIBLE WAY we could slip past their security and rejoin just so we could expose the truth about "all age" drum corp in general and the Bozos in particular.

Did you get a load of the size of some of those percussion members on BD3's myspace page? I didn't thinkk there was enough plaid in all of Scotland to cover them.

I could not resist

I don't know if it was caused by reading grannies menus or what but on a recent trip south I could not resist buying a jar of corn cob jelly and sunflower butter.
Hope I don't get the desire to wear a skirt with no underwear and a large red nose.

The last "safe" group to ridicule?

Up until it was concured by Austria-Hungary, Bohemia was an autonomous country. I am of Bohemian ancestry and proud of it. I am sick and tired of the word "Bohemian" being used as an adjective to describe weird, Hippie style people. It's time for all Bohemians to start making a stink about this, just like every other ethnic and racial group has done in the past.

Not in Wisconsin

The good people of Wisconsin showed thay are sick and tired of political campaigns that are nothing more than mud slinging and dirt dredging expeditions. We elected a new Supreme Court judge in a landslide despite of a major Democratic Party negative hate campaign against her. Perhaps if they had fielded a qualified candidate they would have done better.

In the record books

Fresh off their stupendous, come from behind victory against a score of DCI and DCA top rated corps in the World Renowned Milwaukee St Patrick's Parade, the "ALL-AGE" Kilties, fed on grannies great vitales, have rapped up another Kamp. By some accounts they finished the field show and began preparing for their Carnegie Hall concert before the Queen of England. HDIC has procured the services of the new Airbus 380 to fly all 80 horns, fifty percussion and 55 guard members and the "significant others" to New York. More details to follow on DCP.
